On 18 October, Marina Premià will host an ArteriaMar activity as part of Barcelona Climate Week, an experience open to everyone and designed to encourage a different way of looking at our marine environment.
Under the theme “The sea doesn’t begin at the shore”, the activity will take participants on a short exploration around the port and coastline, focusing on what often goes unnoticed: marine life, human footprints, objects travelling through the environment and the connections between the city, streams, coastline and sea.
This will be neither a traditional talk nor simply a clean-up activity. Through observation, science, art and collective creation, participants will explore new ways of understanding and connecting with the territory.
The activity is designed for all ages, and no previous knowledge of climate change, biology or sustainability is required. The aim is simply to observe, ask questions and discover.
